Rescue crews were in the process of towing in a boat that was stranded Wednesday night out in the Clarence Brown Reservoir at Buck Creek State Park in Clark County.
Crews were in boats and others were set up at the marina at midnight to bring in the boat.
Crews were dispatched to the park at about 9:42 p.m. on a report of someone who was on the water yelling for help. The person believed to be stranded apparently dailed 911 from a boat, according to emergency radio police and fire radio.
Crews from the Clark County Sheriff's Office, Moorefield Twp. fire and Ohio Department of Natural Resources assembled at the park and portable lights were brought to the scene.

A young child was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon when she was run over by a commercial SUV or a work trailer apparently being pulled by the SUV in the 1100 block of Linden Avenue.
The girl’s condition was not immediately known, Springfield police Sgt. Jeff Williams said. She was expected to be flown to a Dayton hospital.
Witness Nakisha Jackson said the girl ran out into the street and ended up underneath the trailer, which Jackson said had to be lifted off of the child.
Jackson said she did not see if the girl had been hit by the SUV as well.
The trailer could be seen in the middle of the street. Two commercial lawn mowers were apparently removed from the trailer and were sitting in the street.
Several witnesses described the girl as an 8-year-old, but that was not confirmed by police.
Late Wednesday night, police were still trying to piece together how the incident occurred.
The SUV displayed a Brown’s decal and two phone numbers.
A woman who answered the phone at Brown’s Lawn & Landscaping told a Springfield News-Sun reporter that no one was available for comment.
